Outside of the busyness of school, LilyJasmine gives back her time through research internships and voluntarily teaching physics. She enjoys working out, spending time with her loved ones, and being artistically immersed in her hobbies.
LilyJasmine is confident to represent Miss UNCF as a candidate for Oakwood University to continue the high standards of excellence and our historically black education for representation in this society. Each semester, HBCU students face difficulties with financial clearance and unfortunately many are unable to remain for 4 years to obtain their degree. However, as a community, we can all join in partnering with UNCF to help students financially matriculate through Oakwood University to make it to graduation. LilyJasmine’s initiative is based on advocating for peers through G.R.O.W., which stands for “Grounded, Reaching Oneness for our Wholeness.” This acronym emphasizes the need for action for us to be grounded in knowledge and strive for our fullest potential by applying for UNCF scholarships. She also encourages us to strive for oneness through the power of God and prayer. LilyJasmine believes that we can achieve a greater sense of wholeness as a community by working together as faculty, parents, and donors to provide financial support to students to address their financial needs. Moreover, this will ensure to G.R.O.W. the advancement of Oakwood University students and future generations.
