Oakwood University Honors Program
provides an educational experience with diverse pedagogical modalities including, but not limited to, group discussions, team projects, and experiential learning. The program also includes a formal research project, thesis, and presentation as a capstone requirement for graduation. Honors students will be distinguished as such on transcripts and at graduation. The purpose of this program is to produce ethical, service-oriented professionals with distinctive academic and leadership skills that enable greater access to graduate programs and professional careers. The mission of the Oakwood University Honors Program is to transform academically gifted students for service to God and humanity through biblically-based education that incorporates interdisciplinary team projects, internships, leadership development, global learning, service, and exposure to the formal research enterprise. Your contribution will help further the mission of the Honors Program and support its program offerings.
